Over the years, coastal areas have increasingly been dominated by the 21st century’s serious disease of the planet: plastics. On beaches, about 72% of the waste found is plastic, and this environmental epidemic is causing a multitude of problems. These are social, economic, and environmental problems that haunt the future of the beaches where we want to sunbathe, not plastic.
