The plastic containers are reused in Visual and Technological Education with the most varied purposes: storage of material, elaboration of art Pieces.
The little amount of glass that is used in the school is placed in the green eco-point.
The used toothbrushes, are not finished, every three months must be changed, the old ones are placed in the “ecoescovão” and later they are delivered in the Extruplás, company that is dedicated to the transformation of compound plastics in urban furniture –www.extruplas.com.
The paper that can not be reused is delivered to the Food Bank against Hunger and later “transformed” into food – http://www.papelporalimentos.pt/.
Kitchen surpluses that can be used in composting are placed in the school composter, the resulting compost will be used in the biological garden of the school that is being started this school year.
All electrical and electronic equipment, as well as batteries are placed at the electronic point so that they are properly collected and processed by ERP-Portugal-www.erp-recycling.pt.
Since these small campaigns were launched, the increase in the amout of this type of waste has already increased by more than 40%.
