Times change, rivers change: Spila and Ave rivers

The realization of this project was only possible with the joint leadership of the two schools involved, through the use of distance communication tools, such as online meetings. The difficulty of distance was overcome by sharing tasks and ideas. The EB Pedome assumed the role of coordinating the project

Do rivers change over time? Does the type of pollution and aggression to rivers change?

To answer these two questions, two schools got together and collected information about the rivers that run alongside the schools: Ave and Spila. They visited the riverbanks and photographed what they found.

The two rivers already had clean water and the two rivers were being polluted, either by domestic waste or by residues from factories. Although in both cases it seems that the situation has improved, but plastic waste abounds. The plastics that are found on the banks at times when there is less water warn that there is still much to do.

Do the plastic traces that show them mean something?

Yes, it’s time to do.
