“Turn the page” in times of pandemic

The Colégio Luso-Internacional de Braga (CLIB), since the beginning of the confinement, has ensured meals to the most unprotected in the northern city of the country. This project, recently named "Turning the Page", already has 200 volunteers and almost 20 thousand meals distributed, supporting 300 people in one day. In addition, the promoters of this project are essentially making sure that they promote social development.

“Turn the page” is a project that from the beginning of the confinement decided to be alongside those most exposed to the consequences of the pandemic. This project is focused on social sustainability seeking to avoid the increase of social differences and provide social welfare and improve the quality of life of those exposed to food shortages caused by the closure of many institutions that had the function of social support in Braga. According to Ana Veloso, a volunteer, this project has as its point the “P” of sustainable development, Peace, Prosperity, Planet, Peace, Partnership, present in the ODS of Agenda 2030.
