Os finalistas do Concurso Internacional Jovens Repórteres para o Ambiente (YRE) de 2024 foram agora avaliados pelo Júri Internacional, e os trabalhos premiados foram selecionados.
O elevado número nível de participação permitiu a realização de um concurso com um vasto leque de temas, abordagens e soluções.
Os trabalhos premiados este ano mostram o grande talento jornalístico dos estudantes YRE e uma profunda compreensão das complexas questões ambientais que afectam as suas comunidades locais. O Júri Internacional baseou a sua avaliação na selecção temática dos estudantes, nas suas reflexões sobre a forma como o tema se liga aos Objectivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável e nas suas competências jornalísticas globais.
Os trabalhos Portugueses premiados foram 2:
1st Place, Single Photo Campaign THE WATER WE WEAR: Escola Básica e Secundária de Canelas (Dinis Cirne)
‘Creative approach to present an underlying issue. Good idea to focus on the water consumption generated by the making of clothes. Interesting connection between the use of water and the manufacturing of clothing. I never knew so much water was used in the process. Not sure the picture successfully conveys that. The train of thought was commendable but the execution needs improvement.’
1st Place, Photo Story SUSTAINABLE ART ON THE VERGE OF EXTINCTION: Luís Martins
‘Well presented story, artistic and compelling images. It is supported by statistics and historical background. It is also personal! Liked the photos. Bit confused by the headline. I thought it was going to be about art and it was about fish! Nice reportage and choice of photos. Like the choice of focusing on the challenges faced by small fishermen. Good photo essay of a fisherman with beautiful photography.’
